How the PDF lane works (and its limits). We read the vector line geometry straight from a CAD-exported PDF and measure areas and lengths off it — traceable, not guessed. Two honest limits:
- Vector PDFs only. A scanned or photographed drawing is a raster image with no geometry — it can't be measured here; use the photo lane or send it to us.
- No layers in a PDF (unlike DXF), so you tag what each shape is. The DXF lane auto-classifies by layer if you have the CAD file.
- Curves are approximated by their endpoints; a Supreme estimator confirms every line before issue.
